TruID is a client application designed to generate One-Time Passwords (OTPs) for secure identification within an organization's critical systems, such as sales and email platforms.

• TruID features support for multiple profiles, each offering the choice of challenge or synchronized modes. In synchronized mode, OTPs are produced after entering a PIN, while challenge mode involves the user inputting a challenge along with the PIN to create the OTP, with challenges provided by the TruID server.
• Integration with TruID requires an organization/provider to have the PortWise Authentication Server in place, which supports the radius protocol and offers web service APIs for seamless integration with various applications requiring robust user authentication mechanisms.

There are two activation methods available for TruID:

1. Online Activation: Users receive a one-time activation key generated by the PortWise Authentication Server via email or SMS, along with a corresponding URL for activation. By clicking on the URL on their device, users can proceed with activating their TruID client account following the on-screen instructions.
2. Manual Activation: During account activation, a seed value is created on the PortWise Authentication Server. The user is then required to input this seed value into the TruID client to activate the specific profile.
